Sesame, Vanilla-Nut, Maple Granola

I have been wanting to make granola for a little while, and damn was it good. Here's another blog where I'm eating (AGAIN) what I'm writing about, its THAT GOOD! And super cozy.

Did I mention that it's very easy to make too? I'm a firm believer in making your own food, like breads for example. You know what's going into your body because you know what you're making it with. This Granola recipe is healthy! Because I made it! No questions on if there are any ingredients you can't pronounce in it.

This is what it will look like before you go and bake it. Try your best not to eat, but if you do I won't tell. I may have eaten where you see the bald spots in this picture......but.............

it's just too good! perfect for parfaits. So here's the recipe...


  • 3 c instant oats

  • 1 c chopped whole almonds

  • heaping 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

  • 2 dashes of nutmeg

  • 1 Tbs of sesame seeds (optional)

  • 2 Tbs light brown sugar

  • 1/2 c coconut oil (melted)

  • 1 Tbs vanilla extract

  • 1/2 - 1 c maple syrup (depending on how much maple you want!)


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees

  2. Combine the oats, almonds, cinnmon, nutmeg, sesame seeds and brown sugar.

  3. In a separate bowl whisk together the coconut oil, vanilla and maple syrup.

  4. Pour onto your oat mixture and mix with a spoon until everything it coated and sticky.

  5. Pour out onto a large baking sheet that it lined with parchment paper.

  6. Bake for about 40 minutes. Stirring the oats every 10 minutes.

  7. Just as soon as they start to get golden take them out!

  8. Cool completely and ENJOY!
