Brussel-Chips with Garlic Seasoning


Can I just admit I had a huge crush on these?

HUGE.

I couldn't believe how much these tasted like kale chips!!

I wish I would have known about these before, when I was told I had to finish all my brussels sprouts before leaving the dinner table.

So Moms and Future Moms - this is a great way to get your littles to eat their veggies!

And it's a perfect snack for adults - paired with wine? Yes. Duh!

These don't take much, and you can really season them with anything. I went garlic route, obviously. But you can go lengths...

Maybe drizzle with some balsamic glaze at the end....

Maybe add some maple with some pepper...

Or bacon...yes......

Bacon is good.

OR even some blue cheese crumbles that melt ever so slightly as they come right out of the oven...ahhhhhh

I NEED IT.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of Brussels Sprouts – outer leaves

  • Olive oil (I used spray)

  • 1 Tbs garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. For the sprouts….this takes some time. You want the outer leaves. The bigger the Brussels you get the better chips you’ll have.

  3. Just cut the bottoms off and the outer leaves will fall off and you can peel until you can’t anymore. Then cut the bottom again and peel off more leaves. You don’t have to use the whole sprout because the leaves will be too small for chips.

  4. Lay them on a baking sheet and spray or drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder. Toss and bake for 20 minutes until they are browned on the edges.

  5. Let cool for a minute and enjoy! Such a healthy snack, especially for kids!!!
