Ultra Garlic Bombs
I was super in the mood for something extremely garlicky..
what's better than a garlic knot??
But these just aren't ANY garlic knots.
This batch makes about 12 "normal sized" garlic knots and each knot is PACKED with garlic.
I won't lie to you.
I ate all 12.
And aside from the loads of garlic, this is also drowned in butter.
And to think I was on a roll with eating pretty damn healthy - I went and splurged.
So - how did this happen? Well, I had left over pizza dough! My recipe makes 1 batch and usually I use half and save the rest for another time, usually ending in a second pizza but this time - I went and made these knots with it.
It is a simple recipe for plain dough. But then I went and added a ton of garlic to the dough, topped each knot with more garlic, and then added more at the end after they came out of the oven. It was beautiful.
I could have eaten these for days.
The crispy garlic ontop just MAKES these little garlic bombs - bombtastic.
And they add a nice little crispy texture to the knot.
So here are just a few steps! This is an easy one.
Get your pizza dough - premade or my recipe here - If using my recipe - make note that I only used half of it.
1 bulb of garlic
1 stick of butter
Finely mince 1 head of garlic
Add 1/2 of the garlic to the pizza dough - knead to incorporate well, set aside.
Place the other 1/2 in a small sauce pan of medium low heat with 1 stick of butter
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Cut your dough into 12 equal pieces and roll into some flour, making a rope. Tie into a knot and place on a baking sheet. Repeat until all are done.
Heavily coat the knots with half of the melted butter and garlic.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden browned.
Take out and cover with the rest of the garlic butter and garnish with parsley.
