Happy Halloween my creatures!
I know this isn't bloody or scary or Halloween related but I just couldn't wait another day to share these!
The easiest danish you'll ever make in yo life.
This is literally a 5 ingredients danish.
And the best part is ...it's all mostly already made!
Which is unlike me.
But let me tell you, homemade puffed pastry is not a stroll in the park. I will always buy this pre-made.
And for the jam you can use any kind you'd like! I just happened to have blueberry on hand.
....maybe even swap in some chocolate instead?
Can we also please talk about this drizzle drizzle fo shizzle action?
I can't even with the drizzle.
Aren't they just the cutest?
And they store very well too - they're best fresh out the oven but you can definitely store these in an air tight container in the fridge for a few days.
I most definitely had three this morning with my coffee.
Hope you had a wonderful halloween! eat, dat, canday.
Blueberry Cheesecake Danishes
yield: 9 danishes
prep time: 5 minutes
cook time: 15-20 minutes
Pepperidge Farm Puffed Pasty (1 sheet)
Your best Jam - I used Blueberry
Philadelphia Cream Cheese - room temp
4 Tbs Powdered Sugar
1/4 c Half and Half
Let puffed pastry thaw for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Unfold the pasty and cut into 9 squares.
Take 1 Tbs of cream cheese and put in the center of each square pastry.
Then top each with 1 Tbs of jam
Pull opposite corners of the pastry out to stretch them a bit and bring to the center and pinch to seal. Then do the same with the other corners.
Brush the tops of the puffed pastry with some half and half and sprinkle with a little sugar (optional)
Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake until golden brown - about 15-20 minutes.
Mix powdered sugar with half and half until desired thickness and drizzle over the hot danishes.
