Spicy Garlic Wings

July 29, 2019

DO YOU KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS?!?! It's one of the best days of the year {in my opinion} it's NATIONAL WING DAY!!!! And I have brought to you, the BEST wing recipe. It's foolproof, it comes out perfect every time! And not to mention, so simple and quick!

Now, serious question. Do you rinse your chicken off before cooking it?

Growing up I've always seen my parents do this and it just stuck to me, plus sometimes the chicken is a little slimy when I take it out of the packing and the first thing I want to do is rinse it off and pat it dry.

Ok ok so after "rinsing"

I coat the chicken wings in a little olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder.

It's my go to seasoning for just about everything. And that's it for this step.

Look how crispy and browned. My trick is to broil the wings for the last 5 minutes to really get that nice crisp on the skin.

Paint on your favorite sauce!

And you have your beautiful perfect wings!! Fall is a comin! and these wings will surely be a hit for ANY football gathering.

I make these wings a few times a month for my boyfriend and he LOVES them! He even helped me out this time around by being my hand model.

Get ready for the stages of dipping!!!

now wipe that drool off ya face!

and GET COOKIN!

Spicy Garlic Wings

yield: 12 wings

prep/assembly time: 10 minutes

bake: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6 whole wings, cut into drums and flats - discard tips

  • Olive Oil

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Onion Powder

  • Garlic Powder

  • 1/2 c Franks Buffalo Wing Sauce

  • 1 Tbs butter

  • 4 Garlic cloves, pressed or finely minced

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

  2. Take your cut wing pieces and coat with a little olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. I add a few dashes of them all so just season to taste!

  3. Place wing pieces on a cooling rack and then place on a foil lined baking sheet. This helps get the wings extra crispy!

  4. Bake the wings for 45 minutes.

  5. While the wings bake, in a small sauce pan over medium low heat, melt butter and add the pressed garlic. Cook for 5 minutes and then add the Franks Buffalo Wing Sauce.

  6. Turn the heat to low and stir occasionally until you are ready to broil the wings.

  7. Once 45 minutes has passed, turn on your broiler and broil the wings for 5 minutes, keep an eye on them though so they do not burn! All oven's are different.

  8. When done, paint on or spoon on your spicy garlic sauce.

  9. Serve with cold ranch or blue cheese.

  10. ENJOY!!!
